Contribute to increasing financial results.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2. Drive continuous improvement through supplier relationships.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3. <strong>Protect the company<\/strong> (managing supply disruptions, disputes, incidents, etc.).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The core of the business consists primarily of satisfying the needs of internal clients, by obtaining the best performance from suppliers (Quality \/ Cost \/ Delivery \/ Services) and by optimizing overall costs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Objectives of the Purchasing Department<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The definition of the objectives of the Purchasing department is obviously done in connection with a strategy (itself linked to a purchasing policy).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Next, these objectives are broken down for each family and\/or employee. A purchasing objective, as in management, must be \"SMART\":<br \/>\u2022 <strong>S<\/strong>pecific (precise),<br \/>\u2022 <strong>M<\/strong>easurable (associated with an indicator),<br \/>\u2022 <strong>A<\/strong>mbitious (involving effort),<br \/>\u2022 <strong>R<\/strong>ealistic (achievable),<br \/>\u2022 <strong>T<\/strong>ime-bound (planned over time, with monitoring, evaluations, and final validation).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Structure of the Purchasing Department<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To establish a purchasing department within your company, you must have identified and formalized the main positions required.<br \/>\u2022 Director and managers: responsible for management and reporting, possibly including communication, and directly responsible for strategic or critical purchases. The director participates in defining the strategy.<br \/>\u2022 Buyers: they can belong to three different types:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2022 <strong>Family buyer:<\/strong> in charge of the entire purchasing process for their product family on a site.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2022 <strong>Project buyer:<\/strong> integrated into the Project teams, in charge of coordination with Family buyers, and integrating monitoring and innovation functions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2022 <strong>Lead Buyer<\/strong>: in charge of purchasing processes by product family but across several sites.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2022 <strong>Quality Manager:<\/strong> manages receiving control and audits.
